Saving Projects Saves Time
"Tactician Online. We learned so much about it. An excellent resource and tool."
-- Amedisys
Tactician Corporation's Project Manager in the full screen Strategy Map lets you save
your project, with all of its map, site, territory, DataDashboard, and trade area settings.
When you save projects, you save time. Open a saved project and it's all there just as you
left it. No more searching for sites in the Geography panel, or importing indicators to the
DataDashboard. When you open a saved project, all detailed aspects of your project
automatically load to Strategy Map.
Test Different Scenarios
You've taken the time to carefully place sites and trade areas, or carve out territory
assignments. You've created valuable market indicators in the DataDashboard, and made a
weighted index in the DataDashboard that shows areas of high market potential. You've
filtered market areas and colored hot spots on your map. You know where to market and how
to market, but what if you want to tweak this just a bit by adding another indicator to
your index of potential? Or even more basic, see how much you could save by changing the
geography you used from ZIP Codes to Block Groups, giving you more precision? With Project
Manager, you can save your Project with all the settings and indicators that you so
carefully chose, and work out a new scenario without losing the original. Save the changes
that you made in a new project. When you want to return to your original project, it will
be waiting for you in the state you left it. Project Manager gives you the freedom to test
your options.
Compare Scenarios
When you save each potential marketing scenario as a project, you can instantly open
each and compare, to decide which will give you the maximum return on investment. Using the
example above, you could choose to market to households at the Block Group level rather
than the ZIP Code level, reducing the campaign cost and increasing its precision.
The project on the left shows potential by ZIP code for each market. After saving the ZIP
project, we changed the analysis level to Block Groups, and refreshed DataDashboard data to
show the finer level of detail that we can get when marketing at the Block Group level shown
at the right. We stray less outside our trade areas, and can promote to smaller areas with
the highest potential. To explore this option, we did not have to recreate markets, trade
areas, DataDashboard indicators or indexes. Our original project remains intact.
Fine Tune
When you open an existing project, you can use Project Manager's Filter to select sites
that meet specific criteria. For example, if you want to focus on only sites in California,
you would use the filter to select only sites whose State was "like" CA. You could then
select all sites that met the filter criteria, and proceed to Strategy Map where you would
see only those sites in California. If you adjusted the California sites so that you could
explore a new business scenario, you could save them to a new project, or save them to the
existing project. All of your other sites would remain unchanged.
Win
Managing your projects means you can explore your options, yet stay organized and focused
on the prize. You can prepare to win.
