Easier integration with Tactician Online
 Because they’re built on the same technology, Tactician One desktop and Tactician Online are fully and seamlessly integrated. You can use Tactician One to create sites, territories, datasheets and analyses, and share this information seamlessly and securely across your organization via Tactician Online.
Desktop/Online Integration enhancements include:
- Site & territory structures are completely synchronized between desktop and online systems enabling head office and field to collaborate in marketing programs.
- Upload your own point locations (headquarters, store locations, sales rep locations, competitor locations) directly to Tactician Online - no export/import process required!
- Configure a seamless connection from desktop to online, even via a proxy server.
- Media systems integration. Sites, Territories and Market constructs in Tactician One are now easier to use in Tactician’s media execution systems including Insert Express and Tactician Direct.
Development Platform Enhancements
Tactician One can be used in the development of customized web or desktop applications. Virtually all features that are accessible by the Tactician One GUI are also accessible via the component object model (COM) interface.
This new release of Tactician One features hundreds of new properties and methods. This Tactician One installation also contains sample scripts to illustrate how you can use Tactician One to build customized marketing applications.

New Map Capabilities: Contour Maps and Split Geographies
- View your data in a brand new way. Create contour maps that show your interpolated data over the map surface. Use with Tactician’s Gravity Model to model market coverage, site potential and cannibalization.

- Split your geographies and see the data detail. Use the Combine/Split feature to separate individual trade area components (geographies) within the trade area boundary. The example below displays a radial trade area, while each county within that trade area is shaded separately.

Resource Optimizer: New Way to Optimize
- Tactician’s Resource Optimizer is a demand allocation model that mathematically allocates geographic components to locations based on a weighted distance equation. The Resource Optimizer is used to minimize costs and maximize market coverage in distribution and service applications.
Quick & Easy Tools
- Find it: Instantly find a data value or record ID using the new Edit>Find feature for dataviews.
- See it: Instantly calculate the straight line distance between two objects with the DistanceToLine function in Document>Calculate.
- Query it: Use the Query tool to create flash reports that show data for the selected location, summed from all levels of geography in your document. If you have data for your point location, and Block Groups and Counties within your location’s trade area, you can see all the data aggregated for your location in your flash report.
Image Enhancements
- Make your map pop. Enhanced Raster image quality makes your maps crystal clear and easy to read.
- Save your map. Export it to a high-resolution EMF file for sharing or large-scale printing.
Customize Your Map for Printing
- Control your layout. Improved display in Plot Layout will give you crisp, clear plots and pin point accuracy when positioning your map for printing.
- Make your map tell a story. Customize your printed maps with logos or pictures by adding images to your Plot Layout.
- See more of your map. Make your Plot Layout labels transparent so that you can add text to the map without obscuring the information on the map.
Import and Export Your Data Seamlessly
- Import data accurately. Have more control over the data that you import with more options for handling duplicate records. Preserve the first, last, all duplicates, or combine them.
- Export what you need. When exporting a cartographic or text file, you can select the attribute variables that you want in your exported file. Streamline your data file to meet your needs.
Enhanced Geocoding Compatibility
- Geocode your Tele Atlas files automatically. Tactician’s updated StreetFinder Geocoder is fully compatible with Tele Atlas address files.
- Geocode internationally. Tactician One now supports MDS QuickLocate, an Australian geocoder.
